Running

So I’m on day 28 of not smoking, actually will hit 28 complete days in less than an hour. No patches or any nicotine assistance in the last four days. Its pretty wild how irritable I can get, but I’m definitely noticing the differences. I signed up for a 10k and a mud run in April/ May to give something to train for. Ran 17.5 miles last week in total and started having horrible shin splints. I think its because I tried out some interval work, and maybe it was a bit too early on my joints. Took a few days off, (well, biked 38 miles on Sunday- over did that too), and ran today, losing 1 minute off of each mile. So it feels nice to have fitness improve. And I can smell things again, for good or ill…
